    Moving OS to an SSD

    0 votes
I keep thinking about moving JUST my OS over to a 256GB SSD but I don't want to move my games over or anything, and don't want to fully reinstall Windows because that would be a huge pain. I already have a 1TB HDD and don't want to mess any of my data up, and especially not reinstall Windows, have been through it too many times and is too hard to deal with.

look at some backup and restore software.   If you are not going to reisntall the apps - you will need to edit the registry.

Use GParted to copy the partition over from your old disk to your SSD.
